A new addition to Havelock North Village.
Quest Apartment Hotels at 7 Joll Road was completed and handed over in August, bringing a new high-quality accommodation option right into the heart of the village.
Design work was signed off in May 2024, with demolition getting underway in April 2025 and construction beginning the following month. TW Construction came on board as the primary contractor, with Furnz delivering the furniture, fixtures and equipment.
From the outset, the goal was to deliver a high-quality building that adds to the village for the long term, while supporting locally owned businesses and the wider Hawke’s Bay hospitality offering.
There’s plenty happening beneath the accommodation too, with solar on the roof and new shops at street level.
We’ll be taking a closer look at those, and more of what went into the project, over the coming weeks - stay tuned!
One of our more recent installs sits atop Havelock North's newest building, Quest Apartment Hotels at 7 Joll Road.
The new building brings quality accommodation right into the heart of Havelock North, with Wardini Books, Clothesline Collections Havelock North, Journey, and another retailer currently finishing its fit-out taking up the street spaces below.
Up top, we’ve put all that roof space to good use.
The Integrated Energy team installed 110 × 475W TW Solar panels, creating a 52kW solar system powered through a 50kW Sungrow inverter.
A decent system in the middle of Havelock North, generating cleaner, more affordable power from a roof that would otherwise be doing what roofs do - keeping out the weather!
